Registration goodness should start around high noon tomorrow at the Allston court. (Click for map) All teams must be registered by Friday night, and paid up if possible since our fee collectors don’t work weekends… ok that’s not true because that’s me and I”ll be around… but still folks, make it easy on me! Teams will get a call from the organizers Friday night with info on what bracket they’re scheduled to be in on Saturday. AM bracket starts at 10:00AM – and showing up late will cost you valuable game time… and probably irk dah organizers.
$60 cash per team, gets you into the tournament, shirts, and other goodness.
Seattle, Vancouver, Sarasota, and Pensacola were all in town Thursday night for some straight up pickup at the Allston court.

Should you find yourself sitting on your polo bike awaiting the THREETWOONEGO call with this man staring you down from behind the cones across the court… well, good luck I say. Too bad luck won’t save you from the Spanish Fury of Javier. This image was captured in a rare moment of glee that overcame him as he realized that he was destined to rip apart every single ESPI team that he and his cronies-in-chaos Jamie and Howl will face in the tournament.

Stuff keeps coming in and I gotta keep hauling awkward boxes home on my polo bike.
Got the ESPI Sponsor (!!!) page all put together. Local shops and kind companies nationwide have been pouring all kinds of good into our prize pool. Two weeks two weeks two weeks two weeks two weeks…

The East Side Polo Invite tournament May 1-3rd will be split up between two courts on Saturday to get the most games possible in for the tidal wave of teams coming in. We’re trimming the field to 16 teams on Sunday and consolidating play on to our main Allston court where the best polo the East Coast has ever seen will go down.
This is our Somerville court in Conway Park that we never get out to play on despite the almost flawless surface and great boards.

Yeah, that’s a long title, but it’s what’s hot hot hot. The first final game of the NACCC’s ran about 16 minutes, 10 of which are now online (below). It’s unedited with the exception of cutting out time in which the game was stopped. Again, watch it on youtube in “high quality.”
The second half is done, but not yet uploaded.

This is a short I cut for Bike Shorts 7 a couple weeks ago. Footage from my trip to DC with Jav and Cole for the Slapdick tournament. Starts off with some footage from the rainy (8 hour) drive down. Followed by a sequence of bikes in a polo game without any emphasis on the game itself, and then the camera Brendan for a while. Finishes off with a clip of each goal scored in the final game (Ken/Chris/Mark win 5-3). Music by Grizzly Bear.
After consulting with my trusty sources (Chris), the first hit by Ian was revoked by said player and declared a shuffle. Final score 5-3… for those who really need to know.
It’s best to watch the video on Youtube (click above twice) and select “watch in high quality.”
I’ve uploaded all of the gameplay from tape 6 (of 9) onto youtube. All the video titles start with “Legit NACCC,” and thus searching that will turn them all up.
Here’s Doug fighting a giant banana (Truck).
The rest (7 so far) can be found under hoilandBrothers on youtube or by searching “legit naccc.”
