I had completely forgotten I even captured this footage when I came upon it yesterday. Chopped into two 10 minute segments, it’s the entire final match from DC’s Slapdick tournament. It wasn’t captured quite correctly so the frame is too wide (should be 16:9, looks more 2:1).
Part 1
Part 2
Watch it on youtube in high quality.

This video finishes off the first game of the finals at the NACCC’s. The end is especially great if you boost up the sound so you can hear the crowd going wild.
edit: dang, Doug has brought to my attention a gaff of sorts. At 4:17 in the video the score is shown as 5 to 5. It should read 4 to 4. Dang.

Yeah, that’s a long title, but it’s what’s hot hot hot. The first final game of the NACCC’s ran about 16 minutes, 10 of which are now online (below). It’s unedited with the exception of cutting out time in which the game was stopped. Again, watch it on youtube in “high quality.”
The second half is done, but not yet uploaded.

This is a short I cut for Bike Shorts 7 a couple weeks ago. Footage from my trip to DC with Jav and Cole for the Slapdick tournament. Starts off with some footage from the rainy (8 hour) drive down. Followed by a sequence of bikes in a polo game without any emphasis on the game itself, and then the camera Brendan for a while. Finishes off with a clip of each goal scored in the final game (Ken/Chris/Mark win 5-3). Music by Grizzly Bear.
After consulting with my trusty sources (Chris), the first hit by Ian was revoked by said player and declared a shuffle. Final score 5-3… for those who really need to know.
It’s best to watch the video on Youtube (click above twice) and select “watch in high quality.”
I’ve uploaded all of the gameplay from tape 6 (of 9) onto youtube. All the video titles start with “Legit NACCC,” and thus searching that will turn them all up.
Here’s Doug fighting a giant banana (Truck).
The rest (7 so far) can be found under hoilandBrothers on youtube or by searching “legit naccc.”
Quick how-to for wheelcovers. Since it’s such a pain to bike in the wind with a front cover I made a removable one which uses little bungee cords to keep it secure. There’s a quick overview of it near the end of the video.
From a friend (the Gaurk) who doesn’t polo, but does enjoy jazzed up wheels.

I compiled some footage from the 2007 Los Marcos Mayhem tournament. It has all been on youtube for a while, but in separate clips and under the Nascarfan421 username. Footage is of gameplay in the final game as well as an earlier match between NYC’s Heat Lightning (Doug, Paul and Zach) and Ottawa’s Brass Ballers (Alexis, Angelo and Johnny).
I finally put the finishing touches on my legit-style mallet making video. More work than most people’d put into a mallet, but every one I’ve made like this has turned out near darn perfect.
Just thought I’d post up a couple of my favorite polo videos from youtube.
The best introductory video on polo out there, covering rules and the community etc…
Solid gameplay footage from a tournament in NYC’s pit set to some great music.
Fox news coverage of DC’s scene.

I stitched together some footage from the final game of the North End Knockout tournament this last winter in Boston. I’ll be adding similar videos as time goes by in an effort to get more polo gameplay onto the internet, especially when the level of play is high. It was shot with a basic digital camera so it’s hard to keep track of the little ball at times.
Names and date fixed. Thanks to Doug for pointing out the error.
