It’s all over, and nobody died, and it all went good good good. Tons of photos and links to even more will be on here in the coming days. 35 teams from roughly 25 states and provinces played, and the winners are…
1st PLACE – EAST VAN – Seabass, Rory, Pieter
2nd PLACE – MILWAUKEE – Kremin, Brian, Joe
3rd PLACE – RUNNING ON DREAMS – NYC – Doug, Zach, Paul
Watch out for Nick at the ESPIs. He might drop his mallet, kick out his leg, turn your right eye’s vision black and white, apply minor burning, throw in some motion blur and layermask himself into sharpness. That’s how good this kid is on a bike.

Hopefully none of you other East Coasters got stuck with the thunderstorms that were in the neighborhood. According my soothsaying friend weather.com, there’s a half chance of beautiful refreshing water falling from the heavens during the upcoming ESPI tournament. Jav believes we’ll have light showers Saturday morning that will taper off by noon, giving us glorious polo conditions while keeping the basketball players off the pick-up court.

The ESPI4 is fast approaching… so feast your eyes on this goal… Think of a way to get a little ball through there.

Should you find yourself sitting on your polo bike awaiting the THREETWOONEGO call with this man staring you down from behind the cones across the court… well, good luck I say. Too bad luck won’t save you from the Spanish Fury of Javier. This image was captured in a rare moment of glee that overcame him as he realized that he was destined to rip apart every single ESPI team that he and his cronies-in-chaos Jamie and Howl will face in the tournament.

Stuff keeps coming in and I gotta keep hauling awkward boxes home on my polo bike.

These beauties from Velocity USA showed up the other day. To whom will they be awarded… I know not. I say if anyone manages to taco both their wheels in one crash, they get’em hands down.
For all those in the throes of passion over that Volume frame, burn this man’s image onto your retinas. He is the gatekeeper of first place at the ESPI 4 tournament. If you do manage to somehow get past him on some sick breakaway, you’ll have to then deal with Nick, and finally me, because I’ll probablybe sitting in the goal blocking all your shots on my team’s way up the tournament ladder.
It was a beautiful day here in Boston and I was concerned that the tennis players that have recently been deterred by coldness and rain would be back at it on my favorite after-work polo practice court. However, when the park came into view, I realized that something great was no more. No warning (except the huge Caterpillar machinery I saw this morning on the way to work…), no nothin, and in the blink of a 9 hour work day what I so dearly loved is now lost (until they lay new asphalt).
I thought all was truly lost until I cocked my head and noticed a giant empty parking lot on my right.
From Los Marcostan comes … this epic wheelcover. I would type more but my ring and pinkey finger on my left hand is seizing up for some odd reaons which is making it very difficult to type. You’d think my braking fingers would be feeling the hurt if anything after hitting the ball around forever today, but … ok typing this is extremely uncomfortable…
