These beauties from Velocity USA showed up the other day. To whom will they be awarded… I know not. I say if anyone manages to taco both their wheels in one crash, they get’em hands down.

Cambridge Bicycle here in Boston is giving you a reason to practice all day. every day. until the ESPI 4 begins. These are steel track frames by VOLUME - all beefed up with some clear BMX construction influence. This frame will be handed over to the winning team on Sunday, who can then choose what size and color they want for the other 2 frames.

The East Side Polo Invite tournament May 1-3rd will be split up between two courts on Saturday to get the most games possible in for the tidal wave of teams coming in. We’re trimming the field to 16 teams on Sunday and consolidating play on to our main Allston court where the best polo the East Coast has ever seen will go down.
This is our Somerville court in Conway Park that we never get out to play on despite the almost flawless surface and great boards.

A schedule and rules page have been created. Please peruse them at your leisure, then get very familiar with them if you’re coming to the tournament. The rules are open for debate, and there’s a link to the bikepolo.ca thread on the rules page if you have any comments.
Also, Phoenix has committed to bringing 2 teams! See the -ESPI TEAMS page to see who you gotta beat!
So you might not make it to the podium at the ESPI’s coming up in May here in Boston. Most people won’t. If those plans of glory, fame and deliciousness don’t quite come through (the prizes for first, second and third places respectively), you just might find yourself with a snazzy new wallet. Made with the tender hands of a Minneapolitan seamstress, I present to you one of our DFL (Dead Fuckin’ Last) wallets.

The Boston crew got together tonight and banged out a rough draft of what the East Side Polo Invite is going to look like this year. The tournament will run the first weekend in May with two days of games planned (May 2-3) with mad pickup and registration on Friday the 1st. We will be running two separate courts a couple miles apart the first day in a round robin style. The goal here is to get as many games as possible played in order to determine the 16 most worthy teams for Sunday’s double elimination bracket.
Both tournament courts are street hockey style with tall wooden boards topped by cushy chain link fence. The main location has fenced in basketball courts for all day pickup games.
Boldsprints will be run Saturday night at dah party.
NOTE - Expect to play upwards of 5 tournament games on Saturday.
